Necochea

Introduction to Necochea

Necochea is the furthest major beach resort from Buenos Aires and although as popular as the others during the summer, it has enough beach that you will be able to find a spot for your towel. The nightlife here is good, and caters to a younger crowd. Surfing is also possible.

If you are planning on seeing off the racers at Dakar 2012, this might be an option as a place to stay. Its an hour an a half drive to Mar Del Plata, but it is very probable that the rally will pass through, or at least nearby, Necochea.

Hotels in Necochea

If you plan on visiting Necochea, or any other beach on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, between mid December and mid February, you will need a reservation. If you are thinking of using the town as a base for seeing the Dakar rally 2012, you will need to make reservations as soon as possible. If you wait too long your only option will be camping, and even that may be hard to come by.
